LaVar Ball Wants To Package 3 Sons For $1 Billion Dollars?
Know your worth but is $1 Billion dollars a little too much? Father of UCLA guard Lonzo Ball doesn't think so! Ball's father Lavar says he's looking for someone that would give him $1 billion dollars for a shoe deal for his sons; Lonzo and his two younger brothers, LiAngelo and Limelo.
"A billion dollars, it has to be there." Ball tells USA Today in an article that was published Monday. "That's our number, a billion, straight out of the gate. And you don't even have to give it to me all up front. Give us $100 million a year." LaVar said last month that if his son Lonzo didn't sign an apparel or shoe deal with Nike, Adidas or Under Armour when he left college for the NBA, he would sign with the Big Baller Brand. But LaVar may have to wait a little longer for his dreams to come true. His youngest son wouldn't be elibigle to sign a deal until at least March of 2020 due to his age.
Oldest son is expected to be a top-three pick in June's NBA draft. LiAngelo will play for UCLA next season after graduating, and the yougest LaMelo has two more years of high school remaining before following in his brothers footsteps and heading to the Bruins. Lebron James inked a deal with Nike in December 2015 which is estimated to be worth $1 billion dollars.
Michael Jordan makes $100 million dollars alone off of royalties from his Jordan empire. So until we see what happens in 2020, he'll remain king of the sneaker indurstry.
